NDSP State Assistance Brochure

The National Dam Safety Program (NDSP) State Assistance Grant Program provides financial assistance to states to strengthen their dam safety programs, aiming to reduce risks from dam failures and protect life, property, and the environment. The program supports various activities, including training state personnel, improving permitting processes, enhancing coordination with emergency preparedness officials, conducting awareness workshops, purchasing equipment, and increasing dam inspections. Funding for the program is allocated annually and through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021.
